500 ml milk (2 cups)
100 ml rum (7 Tbsp)
2 eggs
200 gr. sugar (1 cup plus 1 Tbsp)
1 tsp vanilla
50 gr butter (plus extra for greasing)
150 gr. flour (1 cup plus 1 Tbsp)
5 gr. salt (1 tsp)

1) Cream soft butter with sugar.
2) Beat in eggs.
3) Mix in flour.
4) Mix in salt and rum.
5) Add milk at room temperature and vanilla.
6) Cover bowl and leave in fridge for 24 hrs.
7) Grease Cannele tins generously (I used silicone molds) with butter. Place
them in the fridge for 10 minutes.
8) Pour mixture into the prepared tins barely under the rim.
9) Bake in a 200 degree oven (400 degrees F) for 1 hr. 20 min. until very
brown. When tepid unmold and serve.
