double recipe of May 28th post: “Pumpkin Filled Wreath Dough”
1 to 2 tsp powdered turmeric
1 beaten egg (for brushing tops of buns)
1 tsp each sesame and/or cumin seeds
1. Mix turmeric into the flour and continue recipe directions.
2. After the final rising, punch dough down and roll dough into a rope about 24″ long.
3. Cut the rope in half, then divide each half again in two sections (4 altogether).
4. Now cut each section into two pieces, rolling each piece into a ball. (forming 16 pieces in all).
5. Place balls on a greased cookie sheet, not touching. Let rise until doubled (about 40-50 min).
6. Brush risen buns with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the desired seeds.
7. Bake in a preheated oven (375deg F) (180deg C) for about 20-25 min. (should sound hollow when tapped).
8. Cool on pan for a couple of minutes, then remove to a cooling rack.
