Green Herb Hummus


One can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/3 cup tahini
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn to small pieces
1/2 cup fresh parsley
1 tsp. finely cut rosemary needles
a couple of sprigs marjoram
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 crushed garlic clove
a couple of pinches salt
2-3 tbsp. water to help make hummus creamier
optional: pine nuts to decorate, other herbs etc.


1. Put all ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until creamy, adding additional water if too thick.
2. Place hummus into a bowl and sprinkle with pine nuts if desired.
3. Serve with celery and carrot sticks or other raw vegetables.
