shredded cooked beets (raw ok too)
smoked salmon or herring
chopped egg (1-2 slices)
2 tablespoons of chopped mild cheese
chopped fresh dill or parsley
1 teaspoon of chopped walnuts
Top with a slice of egg and decorate with a piece of smoked salmon if desired.
Drizzle some mayo between each layer (spiked with a bit of lemon juice).
The quantities can be adjusted to each ones taste. (as with the rest of the ingredients)
