Chocoatmeal Breakfast Bars

_20160528_1741512 1/4 cups (270 gr) all-purpose flour (or part whole wheat and/or buckwheat flour)
3/4 cups light brown sugar
1 cup (90 gr) oatmeal flakes
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp baking powder
1/3 – 1/2 cup coconut oil (or soft butter or oil of your choice)
1 cup almond milk (or milk, or soy milk)
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts

1. Place all ingredients into a large bowl (or food processor) and beat together.

2. Line a 8X8 inch (18X18 cm) pan with lightly greased parchment paper.

3. Place the prepared mixture into the pan and spread evenly up to the sides.

4. Bake in a preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes (the center should be firm when pressed with a finger). Cool and cut into squares.
